The Gates Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship program for high school senior students in the USA. It supports young leaders to excel in their careers without worrying about tuition fees and other educational expenses, ensuring access to all required resources and services.
The scholarship is offered by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, an organization committed to providing equal opportunities to every community. Since its launch in 2017, the program has benefited over 3,000 outstanding high school seniors, enabling them to pursue a four-year degree at any US-accredited institution.
The Gates Scholarship is a “last-dollar” scholarship, meaning it covers the full cost of attendance not already covered by other financial aid or the expected family contribution, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the college’s methodology.
